Clubs and associations

DE BOER ADVIES & NOTARIAAT IS ALWAYS THERE FOR YOU!

Setting up a club or association

There are several ways to set up a club or association. It can be done by notarial deed, a non-notarial instrument or by verbal agreement. An association only has full legal capacity when its articles of association are laid down in a notarial deed. In all other cases, its legal capacity is limited. Having full legal capacity means that your club or association is able to independently assume rights and obligations. When clubs or associations have limited legal capacity, the directors are personally liable for any debts alongside the club or association. We can help you to set up your club or association by notarial deed or assist with the drawing up a notarial deed for your existing club or association.
